June Euchre Tournament
Our first annual Euchre tournament was this June and we welcomed our first new Canadian camper. All enjoyed the games and are looking forward to next year's competition.

Scavenger Hunt
We have also held our first annual Jewel Lake Scavenger Hunt. There was a lot of smiles and laughing and the kids appreciated it tremendously. It was a great success and we look forward to next year. Thank you Diana and Todd for your precious time, prizes, and dedication.
1st Annual Bill Devrise Horshoe Tournament
The horseshoe tournament had teams from all corners of Jewel Lake. The shoes rang to several ringers as the afternoon wore on. Margaret and Ray made sure the scores were accurate and the rules were followed.
The day was topped off with the heating of two barbecues and then the players enjoyed wings and those famous sausages, thanks to Jean and Kim. The day was warm and sunny.

Petanque Tournament
John watched as the Petanque tournament progressed. The way for this new tournament was not necessarily according to the rules. As the games continued a Jewel Lake set of rules become evident and slowly winners were announced. The year has been great in that another sunny day meant a successful tournament.
Hike Around the Lake
Fourteen well shoed hikers led by Steve set off on the newest adventure of their lives, accompanied by two Shitsu dogs for protection from rabbits. Forty five minutes later they emerged at the beach on the other side of the lake - a happy frolicksome group. One hiker decided to set the first time record for the trip and set off and accomplished a 23 minute one way hike. The swim over the clouds broke with sunny sections the hikers returned to cheers from the sedate campers.
